Ordering Online
The Prairie Flying Service online store is strictly intended for regular parts orders with a standard processing time of 1-2 business days. For AOG and rush orders, please call Prairie Flying Service for the fastest service. You can find our contact information here.
AOG service is available 24/7. Our parts department is committed to getting you the parts you need as fast as possible and supports AOG customers almost daily. If calling outside of regular business hours, please follow the phone prompts to be directed to a team member.
At present, Prairie Flying Service does not charge a fee for processing AOG and rush orders. However, we kindly ask that you limit rush orders to exceptional circumstances with grounded aircraft.

Prairie Flying Service does have an extensive library of illustrated parts catalogues (IPCs) and other resources that allow us to help research original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and determine appropriate supersedures to aftermarket FAA PMA’d alternatives. Please keep in mind that we can help determine if a part is approved for your particular aircraft model based on its serial number, but we cannot determine if a part will fit your exact aircraft due to changes or modifications done by you or previous owners.
Prairie Flying Service can only provide information on the makes and models of aircraft that we support; to see the full list of supported aircraft please click here. We cannot provide information for aircraft we do not support, nor for home-built or experimental designs.
Ultimately, it is the responsibility of any aircraft owner to determine if a particular part is appropriate for their exact aircraft year, make, model, and serial number. Prairie Flying Service is not responsible if you decide to purchase a product based on information from our webpage or an employee and it does not fit your aircraft. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds policy for more information.
Prairie Flying Service keeps thousands of parts in stock at our warehouse, ranging from gaskets and o-rings to wing tips and skins. Our inventory is constantly changing as orders are fulfilled and stock is replenished with our weekly vendor orders.
All items listed on the Prairie Flying Service online store are regularly kept in stock. However, shortages and backorders are sometimes out of our control.
If you want to know if a part is in stock before ordering, please contact our parts department during regular business hours. Find our contact information here. Our parts team will be able to confirm current availability or provide an expected restock date for backordered items.
We do not guarantee that every item available for sale via our online storefront is available at all times. If you order an item and we do not currently have stock to fulfill your order, our team will notify you when we reach out to confirm your order.
Prairie Flying Service places weekly stock orders with our vendors to replenish inventory, so most backordered items are available within 5-7 business days. Our team will always provide a timeline for estimated availability based on the best information available to us.
If your order contains items that are not currently in stock, you have the following options:
- Ship the in-stock items now and backorder the out-of-stock items to ship them when they become available (Note that you will be required to pay the shipping charges on the additional shipments)
- Hold all items on the order to ship complete once the out-of-stock items become available
- Ship the in-stock items now and cancel the out-of-stock items
- Cancel the entire order
Please note that backordered items are subject to price increases. Prairie Flying Service reserves the right to charge the current price of the item at the time the order is fulfilled/shipped, not the price at the time the order was placed.
Prairie Flying Service is your local source for all general aviation parts and is committed to helping you find the parts you need. Our online store currently only lists a number of our most popular items, but we can source hundreds of thousands of aircraft parts through our vendors.

Payments
Prairie Flying Service is able to accept the following forms of payment for online orders. Note that all payments must be made in Canadian dollars.
- Debit & Credit Cards (Interac, Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Interac eTransfer
- Net 30 Accounts (for approved business customers)
Payment must be received in full prior to items being shipped from Prairie Flying Service. Please note that there will be a 3% credit card processing fee applied to orders exceeding CAD $3000.
Shipping
When confirming your order, Prairie Flying Service will ask you to confirm the preferred shipping method for your order. We regularly use the following shipment methods:
- Canada Post [ Expedited Parcel / Xpresspost ]
- Purolator [ Ground / Express ]
- FedEx [ Ground / Standard / Economy 2-Day / Priority Overnight ]
You may provide your Purolator / FedEx account number if you would like your order to be shipped collect. Otherwise, all shipments are shipped “Prepay and Bill” with the shipment cost being added to your final invoice.
Our shipping department is happy to provide an estimate on delivery times and cost to help you decide which shipment method to use. Note that in most cases, exact shipping charges cannot be calculated until an order is packed and ready to ship, since shipping costs can fluctuate daily based on demand and are based on the size, weight, and number of packages in your order.
Local customers are welcome to order parts online and visit us for in-person pick-up during regular business hours. After submitting an online order, please wait to receive notification from the Prairie Flying Service team that your order is ready for pick-up.
After you submit an online order, the Prairie Flying Service team will be in touch on the next business day to confirm your order. When we reach out, we will confirm your order (including pricing and availability), verify your shipping address and preferred shipment method, and take payment.
The majority of online orders will ship out within 1-2 business days. If there are any backordered items, you can choose how you wish the order to be fulfilled (see the “Limited Stock and Backordered Items” section above).
Prairie Flying Service welcomes orders from customers outside of Canada and regularly ships to the United States and internationally.
All duties and taxes are the buyer’s responsibility. We will not mark packages below value or mark them as “gifts” as Canadian and international regulations strictly prohibit such practice. We are not responsible for any delays associated with customs clearance.
